Caden Hinker set to host basketball skills camp in July – Mitchell Republic

MITCHELL — Former Mitchell Kernel and future Augustana basketball forward Caden Hinker is scheduled to host a basketball skills camp July 19-21.

Recently graduated Kernel basketball star Caden Hinker will host a basketball skills camp July 19-21 at the Mitchell High School gymnasium in Mitchell.

The camp will be hosted by Hinker and Mitchell High School boys’ basketball coach Ryker Kreutzfeldt at Mitchell’s MHS Gymnasium.

Hinker is fresh off his preseason career at MHS and averaged 22.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 blocks in his senior year. In his four years as a core, he earned Southeastern Dakota and All-State Conference honors three times, climbed to sixth all-time in Class AA history for points scored, received the prestigious Spirit of Su award and was named Mitchell Republic’s. 2022 Male Basketball Player of the Year.

The camp is open to all incoming boys and girls in grades 3-8 at a cost of $40 per person. The Grades 3-5 boys and girls session will run from 1-2 p.m. and the Grades 6-8 boys and girls session will run from 2-3:30 p.m.
