Geauxing-Mad: LSU Basketball Teams Host Special Outdoor Basketball Event | Sports

The men’s and women’s basketball teams held a joint basketball event on Friday.

The teams rode on the Mardi Gras floats on Nort Stadium Drive where they were then presented.

Events included a junior dunk contest for little tiger fans, a student half-court shot for a chance to win $10,000 courtesy of Hancock Whitney, a three-point contest and a special performance of LSU WBB Flau’Jae Johnson.

The men’s and women’s basketball teams held a joint basketball event on Friday.

The teams rode on the Mardi Gras floats on North Stadium Drive, where they were then presented.

Events included a junior dunk contest for little Tiger fans, a half-court shot by a student for the chance to win $10,000, courtesy of Hancock Whitney, a three-point contest and a special performance by the well-known rapper. known and freshman LSU WBB Flau ‘Jae Johnson.

The three-point contest started with four players from each team and grew to two between the winner of the men’s and women’s group.

Shooting for the men was Justice Hill, Mwani Wilkinson, KJ Williams and Adam Miller. For the women’s roster, it included Jasmine Carson, Flau’jae Johnson, Ryann Payne and Alexis Morris.

Adam Miller and Jasmin Carson reached the ultimate showdown and Miller took the win for the men recording 20 shots to Carson’s 19.

The LSU women open their season with exhibition games in the ACGA on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 before their opener against Bellarmine on Monday, Nov. 7.

The men’s team will begin its season on Wednesday, November 9 against Kansas City.
