Nanteuil-lès-Meaux: football and basketball teams congratulated for their results

They are the pride of Nanteuil-lès-Meaux. Throughout the 2021-2022 season, the teams of the various sports clubs have struggled in various competitions to showcase their city. But two teams particularly stood out: the senior team of the football club and the female basketball club have both won the title of champions of Seine-et-Marne, in June.

To congratulate them, the town hall of Nanteuil-lès-Meaux organized, Friday, September 2 at the end of the day, a ceremony to honor their success in the presence of the president of the department Jean-François Parigi, its vice-president Bouchra Fenzar-Rizki in charge sports, Philippe Collot, president of the football district and his deputy president Jean-Marie Renaud.

The two teams were also surprised to be congratulated by Denis Troch, former player and coach of PSG, winner of the Coupe de France in 1993 with PSG, Champion of France in 1994 with PSG, and finalist in 2001 of the French Cup with Amiens. against Strasbourg.

“It’s been years since Nanteuil won a cup. The football club came back after difficult times and we wanted to thank them,” explains the mayor, Régis Sarazin. “The women’s basketball club has had very good results. We are delighted to see the club move up to a higher division.

Nanteuil, a city focused on sport

For the mayor, Régis Sarazin, this ceremony was also an opportunity to highlight sport as a whole in Nanteuil-lès-Meaux. City labeled Terre de Jeux as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, “Nanteuil inculcates the values ​​of sport from an early age. In addition to the school, we offer tennis, golf, swimming, inter-school cross-country sessions. »
