Rocky Mountain Premier Youth Basketball Skills Camp scheduled for June 21-23 – Canon City Daily Record

The Rocky Mountain Premier Youth Basketball Skills Camp will teach and inspire our young Fremont County athletes and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 21-23 at the Canon City High School Tiger Dome. The camp is for boys and girls in grades 3-5. The cost is $75 and includes a shirt.

The camp will be led by former collegiate athletes, coaches of various levels, and students of the game. The focus will be on basic offensive and defensive basketball skills with an emphasis on shooting mechanics.

Canon City Public Library Announces Summer Learning Program

Canon City Public Library is gearing up for the Summer Learning Program and ready to launch. Registration will go online (www.ccpl.lib.co.us) May 30 and in person May 31, so come online or visit the library and register the whole family for a summer full of reading and lots of fun, plus lots of weekly prizes and draws. The launch event is the Summer Soak Down on June 9 at 2 p.m. at Macon Plaza 516 Macon Ave. Bring your favorite super soak and a towel, prepare to get wet.
