Former Greenfield-Central High School basketball stars Madison Wise and Katie Helgason are teaming up again.
Wise, a 2017 Indiana All-Star, and Helgason are hosting a basketball skills camp on Saturday, Oct. 2, inside the Greenfield-Central High School court.

The camp is open to all currently enrolled girls in kindergarten through 12th grade. The cost per participant is $40 and includes a camp t-shirt and a snack.
Half of all proceeds will be donated to special needs classrooms in Greenfield-Central.
The camp will be held in two sessions with players from kindergarten through fifth grade participating from 3-5 p.m. Sixth through 12th grade campers will receive instruction from 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Wise continued her basketball career at Iowa State after graduating from Greenfield-Central and is currently a member of the IUPUI women’s basketball program. Helgason continued his basketball career at Ball State University.

RHP Jameson impresses at minors
Greenfield-Central graduate Drey Jameson is making steady progress through the Arizona Diamondbacks system.
The 23-year-old right-hander from Ball State University was a first-round pick by the Diamondbacks in 2019 and was promoted to Double-A Amarillo this season.
He started the year with High-A Hillsboro, posting a 3.92 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 77 strikeouts and 18 walks issued in 64.1 innings pitched.
Prior to his promotion, Jameson had a 1.69 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in his last six outings with Hillsboro.
With Amarillo, Jameson hit a 1.98 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with a 41:6 walk out ratio. He currently has a 4.08 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 68 outs. at bat in 46.1 innings pitched. His record is 3-2 in eight starts.
